Cookies policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Sites can also keep information in your browser’s own storage (“local storage” and “session storage”), which works much the same way. This policy covers both, and we call them all cookies.

2. Strictly necessary

These make the site work — your cart, your order, paying for it — so they’re always on and don’t need your consent.

3. Optional

These only switch on if you say yes — “Accept all”, or one kind at a time under “Preferences”. If you reject them, or haven’t chosen yet, they stay off and the site works just the same — you can still order, send feedback, and typing your Eircode still fills in your address.

Analytics. Google Analytics shows us which pages are used, where visitors come from (including which of our links, posts or emails they followed) and whether orders and enquiries go through. Until you accept, Google’s script isn’t loaded and nothing is sent. It never receives your name, email, phone number or anything you type into a form, and addresses are stripped of everything but our own campaign tags. Google signals and ad personalisation are off.

Links from social media. The links we share on Instagram, TikTok and other platforms carry campaign tags (the “utm_” part of the address), so Google Analytics can tell which platform, post or campaign a visit came from. The tags are part of the link, not extra cookies: they’re only counted if you accept analytics, and nothing about your visit is sent back to the social media platform.

4. What we don’t use

No advertising cookies and no social media tracking pixels — no Meta (Facebook, Instagram) or TikTok pixel, and nothing that reports your visit back to a social media platform or follows you across other sites. Google is told that advertising storage and ad personalisation are refused on every page, and we never ask for them. We don’t sell or share information about your visit.

5. Other companies

Square handles card payments, and Google provides analytics (if you accept it) and address suggestions; each sets its own cookies under its own policy: Square, Google.

6. Your choice

You can change or withdraw your choices whenever you like — here, or from “cookie settings” on our say hello page. Withdrawing switches Google Analytics off at once and deletes its cookies from your browser.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser’s settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may stop the cart or checkout working.

7. More

How we use the information you give us is in our privacy policy. Questions about cookies go to info@doomslice.pizza. If we change what we use, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
